As sad as I am to have had to take this year off from producing – darn baby! – I will be performing in “101.9RXP Presents Sketch Rocks!” Wednesday night, June 8th at 11pm. That’s the first night of the fest, which is 4 days this year! – June 8-11th! For more information and this year’s schedule, go to www.sketchfestnyc.com.
Back by popular demand, Grease 3: Threase (the show I wrote with Katherine Bryant Flaherty) is running Friday nights in February at the PIT’s new and amazing space at 123 East 24th Street, NYC. We have 3 new cast members, a bunch of new jokes and the same ridiculous show that ran so well in October. Get your tickets here: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/127892
Here is a clip from the last production. In this song, “What’s Under There,” Mandy, the foreign exchange student from Pakghanistan, arrives in Mr. Grady’s science class and is harassed through song by the T-Boners and Pink Labias of Schmydell High. Enjoy:
Hello there. On November 18th, we had a kid. She’s rad. I am tired. Her name is Georgia Mae.
I was performing up until the week before she was born. It was pretty difficult, but I was lucky to have been a part of some great shows so I didn’t mind dragging my big pregnant self and my guitar around the city too much. She wasn’t due until December 1st, but on November 17th, I took a really long, and rather uncomfortable walk across town, thinking to myself the whole way “This is my last walk.” I expected the next 2 weeks to be filled with watching movies on the couch and indulging in ice cream binges while I anxiously awaited her arrival. But at midnight that night – sploosh – and the rest is history. I will say that I was probably the least graceful woman in childbirth ever. But 9 hours of labor later, I had this cool little chick in my arms…
I did a show at the Jalopy Theatre in Brooklyn on December 17th – it was my first night back and although I felt terribly guilty leaving her, I had an awesome time being me again. Looking forward to finding out what 2011 has in store for me as a performer and mom. Should be an interesting journey. Stay tuned…

The new online publication Daily Brink has posted an article and photos of me. They also do an amazing job of plugging Grease 3: Threase. The only thing they left out was how much of a collaboration G3 is with my BFF and partner in all things comedy Katherine Bryant Flaherty. She co-wrote and co-produces G3 with me and I would be remiss to not give her the appropriate credit. Even though I’m funnier, smarter and prettier.
Note the baby bump in the homepage photo… That’s my kid!
“Grease 3: Threase” is a modern day tribute to the worlds of Grease 1 and 2, where rambunctious, musical teens help assimilate the new foreign exchange student, all while preparing for this year’s talent show. Will she ever be cool enough to be a Pink Labia? Will the T-Boners ever stop being so cool? Back from summer break at Schmydell High, the T-Boners and the Pink Labias sing and dance their way through “senior year” while learning important lessons about friendship, pregnancy, laser tag and racial profiling.
You read right, I am producing, performing and have written (with the amazing Katherine Bryant-Flaherty) a 3rd installment of Grease called Grease 3: Threase which we are premiering at Sketchfest NYC 2010.
Grease 3: Threase – June 11th at 9pm at Sketchfest NYC 2010
