Can you handle this photo? I’m ridiculous. Way to impress the crowd at the Mercury Lounge. And my parents were in the audience. They must be so proud.
Photo by the wonderful Maryanne Ventrice - good one, lady.

Catch me in Chicago at the Lakeshore Theatre August 1st and 2nd. I’ll be opening for Kurt and Kristen’s show “Double Down Hearts.”
And then . . . August 7th . . . SFUD will finally play the show we’ve all been waiting for . . .
Mercury Lounge, y’all. (217 East Houston at Ave A)
So I was reporting to Katherine this morning about the incredibly entertaining new show on MTV called “From Gs to Gents” when she mistook what I said through my thick American accent and thought I was describing a new show titled, “From Jews to Gents.” MTV - I think we’ve struck gold!
I had to write this blog about it to prove that it was our brainchild. Just imagine the possibilities . . . Goodbye Yamulkes - Hello Jesus! No more Menoras - Break out the rosary!
Since these sites have been kind enough to plug me and my album, I want to return the favor.
Dailybedpost.com is a smart, sexy site by Emma Taylor and Lorelei Sharkey who have co-authored FIVE books and are self proclaimed “Emily Posts of the modern bedroom.”
The talented Eliza Skinner writes a blog that is filled with hilarious and honest insight. She is one of hardest working and funniest ladies around town.
Rachel Kramer Bussell is an incredible supporter of clever naughtiness. She’s written for The Village Voice, Penthouse, numerous anthologies and her novel, “Everything But . . . ” is being published this year by Bantam.
Stefani Shock is a screenwriter turned blogger, now writing “The Pulitzer Blog.” Her sardonic and hilarious views of her crazy world are highlighted in her diary-like posts where she explores everything from her recent tattoo removal to who you should always refuse as a friend on facebook. It may seem like she’s yelling at you - but she’s not.
Thefrisky.com (a daily romp on the sexy side) is an online women’s magazine which explores all things frisky. And I have to say, the fact that the Frisky editor, Amelia McDonell-Parry, lists salami as one of her “interests” makes me want to read her site every day. I LOVE salami.
Lastly - I want to give our new FEARSOME video a shout out. The final version of “Gungrease” is now finished and posted. I think these points should sell you on it: Ass, Gungrease, and more ass. Enjoy! You can see it on my “sketch” page, or you can visit FEARSOME’s website.
The Latest . . .

You can also hear 4 hear tracks from the cd on my myspace page!! Or my facebook page!!
And exciting news — I’ll be performing in LONDON! the first week of February in a taping of the international TV show, The World Stands Up. I’m stoked. I’ve got my guitar and my work permit in hand and I’m learning to drink tea and starting to feel out crumpets.
I swear on my black guitar that this is an actual picture I drew at age 4 that I titled “The Naked Man.” And it’s now printed on my cd. Apparently my mind has been in the gutter since a super young age. My parents must be very proud. Proud enough to have kep this all these years. Look at him - he looks so happy!
The album is in its final stages and is headed for release by the new year. Hooray!!I want to send out cyber-special thank yous to our magnificent producer, Cock Lorge; to Mr. Olivier Glissant and Ms. Ali Hart for saving my butt; to Bobby Sichran for all his time and hard work when he had so much other crazy stuff to focus on; to my dearest Christopher for being my champion; Andres Subercaseaux for your patience and expertise; Katherine and Gary for your daily confirmation; Jason and Jennie for your drums and ears; lube; and last but certainly not least, The Upperdeckers– Kit, Chris and Jeff who are the coolest dudes a girl could ever find on Craigslist.
So when will this album be officially released? Soon. Cock Lorge and Bobby Sichran are currently hard at work mixing the hell out of the thing. We will have a soft release later this month and a hard release/big bash in January. Patience is a virtue, I tell myself every day.
Meanwhile, Katherine Bryant took some ridiculous and awesome album cover photos. She has a great bathroom. No decisions have been made yet so chime in if you like. Enjoy.
